Virtual Round Square Conference February 12Pathways World School, Gurgaon
On Saturday, the 9th of February 2019, six students from Pathways World School, Gurgaon took part in their first ever "Virtual Round Square Conference" mentored by Ms. Smita Gangola. This conference was hosted by Chittagong Grammar school, Bangladesh. The virtual conference locations ranged from Australia, Europe, Africa, West and East of America, and The South Asian and Gulf Regions.
It followed the path of the sun, beginning at sunrise in the Eastern Hemisphere, and ending at sunset in the Western Hemisphere. The vision of this conference was to empower the youth by example, and inspire others to reach their full potential, keeping in mind the theme: "Together Towards Tomorrow". The conference aimed to connect the entire Round Square community in a single day, and allow the participants to learn from each other, take joy in the connections made and reinforce our shared values and commitment to the Round Square IDEALS.
Our students participated in the conferences of the South Asian and Gulf region, the West American region, and the African region.
The interactive and informative activities we took part in ranged from a Zumba workshop, to a lesson on Warli art, a key note speaker on JAAGO and a virtual classroom on mindfulness and faith! These interesting sessions were reflected upon in the discussion filled Barraza sessions, where we debated and laughed, argued and agreed upon.
Pathways was honored to take part in this different, one-of-a-kind conference, and has indeed taken back so much learning, so many new opinions and so many new, lifelong friends.
