The Sustainable Wellbeing Collaboration November 4Pathways World School, Gurgaon
The Sustainable Wellbeing Collaboration took place on the 20th of October 2022, hosted virtually by The Doon School, Shirakatsy Lyceum in Armenia, and the British Overseas School in Karachi.
The Conference—which was inspired by Round Square—focused on the theme of “Sustainable Wellbeing”, which is the intersection of environmental sustainability and personal mental health. PWS’s delegation consisted of Ashmita Haldar from DP 1, Aanya Rastogi from DP 1, Dev Chadha from MYP 5, and Tisya Nagrath from MYP 4.
The Conference started off with opening addresses by each hosting school, and students were then divided into eight Barazza rooms with different sustainable well-being sub-themes. Each Barazza session focused on a specific theme and related questions, which students answered by sharing multiple perspectives on the connection between collective mental health and sustainability.
There was also a Keynote speech and a Q&A session, which was a wonderful opportunity to gain insight into the importance of well-being in the real world from a seasoned professional. The event ended with each group compiling their ideas and conversations into a resolution statement, which was then shared with all the participants, teachers, and guests.
All in all, the event proved to be an excellent platform for students all over the world to share their insights and step up as the thinkers of tomorrow.
