Day 5 Residential Summer Camp Activities Pathways World School, Gurgaon
May 26
Sunday dawned lazily over the camp. Students woke up to a serene morning, enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and gradually immersed themselves in the day’s activities.
During the theatre session, Group 1 explored vocal dynamics and memory techniques, using their newfound skills to deliver expressive poem recitations. Meanwhile, Group 2 brainstormed scripts reflecting teenage unrest and experimented with vocal dynamics and spatial awareness to bring their stories to life.
The artistic expressions class was a hive of creativity. Both groups participated in a paper casting workshop, transforming waste materials into unique artworks. They also engaged in mixed media painting, starting with basic warm-ups and rhythm games to hone their sense of timing and movement. Students practiced new dance steps, like the flick and place, in preparation for their final showcase performance.
In the realm of robotics, students coded a light meter and a radio using micro. The workshop buzzed with excitement as they tested their code, making the experience both educational and fun. Our budding chefs had a deliciously productive day, baking cookies and creating choco lava cakes. They eagerly anticipated tasting their creations, which turned out to be as delightful as expected.
Survival skills training took a practical turn with the younger group learning to find directions, dig for water, and build shelters. These essential skills were taught through hands-on activities, ensuring the students were engaged and learning effectively.
As the day wound down, the students, enriched by their diverse experiences, looked forward to another exciting day at summer camp.
