• PWS students awarded with 'Attainment Prize' at Oxford Royal Academy, Oxfordshire Pathways World School, Gurgaon

Ishaan Gupta (Grade 12) and his younger brother Devang Gupta (Grade 10), are students of Pathways World School since the year 2015. During the summer vacation (1st to 14th July), both decided to join the Academic Summer Program at the Oxford University pursuing their interests and experiencing the student life there.

It is with immense pride that we share that both Ishaan and Devang were awarded with 'Attainment Prize' for ranking First in their respective courses.

Ishaan's course focused on the fundamentals of business which included basic economic principles and marketing strategies. Narrating his experience at Oxford Ishaan said that he got to explore new fields whilst enhancing his pre-existing research and presentation skills.

His stay at Oxford has helped him gain confidence of living in a new city. Ishaan says that he will never forget the people that he met and the places that he visited. Other than the 'Attainment prize' he was also recognized for achieving 85 points and an A. Oxford was a wonderful host and he hopes to visit it again very soon.

Devang attended a two-week course of Introduction to Enterprise meant for the age group of 13-15. He describes his experience at Oxford as fantastic. He enjoyed meeting people from all nationalities and living on the campus of the University of Oxford with them.

The course was combined with many outings, parties, movie watching sessions and interaction with other colleges around. Devang thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of the course and successfully completed the project assigned to him and his group. Other than the 'Attainment prize' he was also recognized for achieving 91 points and an A* and he also received recognition by the Counsellors for being the most active student. It was truly a memorable experience for him.

A rejoiced and jubilant Mr. Rajiv Gupta (father of Ishaan and Devang) met with the School Team and the School Director to share his joy on his sons' achievements. He said although as parents, they totally supported their sons' aspirations and desire to join the course at Oxford and helped them make it happen, he would like to give the School total credit for their accomplishments and success. He said that the School's strong academic foundation and the inspiration to remain focus was a major contributor to the recognition his sons have got. He also said that he is "Blessed' that both his children are studying in such a wonderful institution.

As it is said that "Every achievement is a servitude. It compels us to a higher achievement" both Ishaan and Devang are now determined to pursue their goals even more earnestly and create a great future for themselves!
