Knowing what you want at sixteen is a head start. The IB Career-related Programme pairs Diploma courses with deep professional study in a field the student has already chosen — taught by the same faculty, on the same campus, within the same IB framework. Academic breadth is exchanged for professional depth. For a young person whose direction is already clear, that is the more purposeful choice.

Pathways World School is a candidate school for the IB Career-related Programme, working through the authorisation process of the International Baccalaureate — the same scrutiny that stands behind our three existing programmes.
Our academic team is establishing the career-related study options, the Diploma course pairings and the CP core experience, drawing on two decades of IB delivery. Subject to authorisation, the founding cohort begins with the academic year in July 2027, and founding families will help form the programme from its first year.
Register your interest →They will. The CP is an IB qualification, recognised by universities internationally and increasingly sought for applied and professional degree routes. CP students graduate holding IB Diploma course results, a recognised career-related qualification, and the CP core: a distinctive and credible profile.
It is differently constituted rather than less demanding. The Diploma courses within it are assessed to precisely the same standard. A committed CP student works as hard as a committed Diploma student; more of that work is simply directed towards their chosen field.
One question performs most of the work: has the student a clear professional direction they wish to pursue now? Where they have, the CP converts that clarity into momentum. Where they prefer to retain breadth, the Diploma is the proper home. Our counsellors guide every family through this in Grade 10, and there is no wrong answer.
