On Thursday, the 12th of September, two Grade 9 students with teacher escorts left for Jawaharlal Nehru Library in New Delhi, for the Book Launch of Dr. Shashi Tharoor’s new book ‘The Hindu Way’. People from all over Delhi NCR had come to the book launch to soak in the life-changing experience.

The packed auditorium was a testimony to the popularity of the author’s writing.

The event commenced at 6:00 pm, when Dr. Shashi Tharoor, along with esteemed guests and authors like Dr. Karan Singh, Pavan K Verma, Bibek Debroy, Rajiv Mehrotra and Seshadri Chari took their seats on stage as the panelists. The Panel Discussion was moderated by Ms. Sonia Singh, the Editorial Director at NDTV.

The man of the evening, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, along with the other panelists lit the auditorium by their enchanting thoughts which embraced the book to be launched. Completely encapsulated by Dr. Tharoor’s words, the audience received an opportunity to obtain interesting insights about Hinduism as a religion, the values it lays emphasis on and the politics that revolves around any religion.

Dr. Karan Singh, who released the book, beautifully captured the diversity of Hinduism when he said, “Hinduism is many different instruments playing together in perfect harmony.”

Realizations dawned upon the audience as the most respected economist and a Padma Shri recipient, Mr. Bibek Debroy, voiced all critiques with wit and wisdom, and left everyone enraptured. With the discussion subtly forming into a debate, and the multiple serves of education and learning, this event left everyone astounded

The Book Launch was followed by Book Signing by the author. Mr. Tharoor and all the panelists obliged the audience by interacting with them and sharing their ideas about current issues. The thought-provoking event ignited a fire in many curious minds and opened a field of discussions where no one answer is ever correct and each point of view is justified.
