"Technology can become the 'wings' that will allow the educational world to fly farther and faster than ever before-if we will allow it." - Jenny Arledge
'Techvriddhi' (Technology Workshop) was held in the School on 21st and 22nd April to accentuate the technical bent of our young students and help them to engage and learn the components of an Android Application.
The Students were guided by an instructor experienced in technology, android app development, python programming, web development, ethical hacking, cyber security and robotics. Through the preparatory applications such as calculators, email application and web apps, the complexity increased when creating larger projects based on the culmination of our experience and knowledge.
The workshop began with a brief introduction to Andy Rubin, Nick Sears and Rich Miner, the pioneers of the Android OS which is now used worldwide by various companies such as HTC, Motorola and Samsung. To build an application for Androids the students used 'Android Studio' which is the official integrated development environment for Google's Android operating system.
In the end of the Workshop on 22nd April the students were exposed to a challenge in varied teams. The winning team have been invited to participate in the next level which will be held at IIT Kharagpur in February 2019. The Students got an enriching and empowering experience and also a platform to recognize their interests and innovative streaks.
