• Squash Achievements -Karata Mahapatra October 8

Karata Dasmahapatra, a Student of Grade 11 is a passionate Squash Player and has shown incredible skills in this Sport, in the School as well as while representing Pathways World School in various invitational School Squash Tournaments.

From 3rd to the 7th of October, Karata was invited to participate in the HCL International Squash Open U17 Boys Category, held in the Shiv Nadar University, Noida. This is a prestigious ASF Silver Star (Asian Squash Federation) & an SRFI 5 Star Event in which Karata secured 2nd Position by exhibiting brilliant prowess in the game.
 

By winning this closely contested final Karata's position has moved into the Top 10 rankings of India,

Earlier in September Karata was invited to play to play the SRFI (Squash Rackets Federation of India) Junior & Senior Squash Open at Kolkata, a National Level Seeded Tournament. In that Tournament too, Karata defeated all the high-seeded players from the Quarter Finals onwards and achieved the position of a Runner-up in a hard-fought Finals.

These proud individual victories at the National Level were preceded with his achievement at the IBSO National Squash Tournament for International schools held at Sanskar Valley International School at Bhopal in which he represented Pathways World School and won a Gold Medal for his First Position in U-19 Boys category,

Karata has been putting in a tremendous amount of hard work in his academics as well as his Squash training to achieve excellence in his sport at the National level and is amongst the top 20 Players in India.
