Aquathalon Pathways World School, Gurgaon
An event aptly embodied by the saying, 'blood, sweat and tears', occurred on the 18th of August for the Senior School. 40 of the fittest student athletes took place in a gruesome race of guts that took the form of Pathways' Annual Aquathalon. A competition known for its rigour, participants are required to swim 100 metres, followed by a 1500-metre sprint on the school grounds.
Raw athleticism, combined with tenacious spirit, are a participant's best assets in this rigorous race. Such were the attributes displayed by the Aquathalon's proud participants this year:
All in all, the event sponsored a moment of togetherness for the entire senior school; those not participating performed the elemental role of motivating their house with gallant and enthused cheers.
The future prospect of the upcoming Triathlon, as introduced by the PE department, is another similarly thrilling House event, sure to act as an even greater platform for sports enthusiasts to showcase their athletic conditioning and as another community experience for the Senior School students.
