Squash Tournament - Sanskar Valley School Bhopal Pathways World School, Gurgaon

From Wednesday, 12th till Friday 14th of September, the young Squash players of Pathways World School attended the 1st IBSO National Selections at The Sanskar Valley School in Bhopal. They were trained by Mr Pradeep Billore, who was their coach. The players that participated from
Pathways World School, Gurgaon were
- Ryandeep Chawla (Grade 12),
- Siddharth Suneja and
- Karata Dasmahapatra (Grade 11)
On the 13th of September, the 1st IBSO National Selections were declared open by the Chief Guest at the Opening Ceremony where 8 schools participated and each player played 4 matches to qualify to the Semi Finals held on the next day.
Furthermore, the students played with various techniques which helped them exemplify their talent and enthusiasm in the sport. The players were then selected for the 64th SGFI Tournament which would be held in Chandigarh later that month.
Out of the 3 players that participated, Siddharth and Karata have been selected for the 64th SGFI tournament.
Karata Dasmahapatra came 1st in the under 19 category and was awarded a Gold Medal which he attained by winning against Ushnish (Sanskar Valley School student).
The tournament ended with the Closing Ceremony on the 14th where the players were given their awards according to their position and their performance.
