IHS Symposium "Connect by Languages" September 20Pathways World School, Gurgaon
On September 8, 2022, IHS Dubai sponsored a one-day symposium in honour of International Literacy Day. Two students from Pathways World School attended the symposium with great enthusiasm, as did students from 17 different schools.
The goal of the symposium was to inspire participants to study other languages, so each member of the Barraza team introduced their own language to the others. Mr. Mansoor Alobeidli, the event's keynote speaker, also spoke about the need to learn new languages.
The symposium was enriched by the debates and discussions that took place in the Barraza groups. Besides the conversations in the groups, the Barazza leaders organized many activities, such as guessing the language from the sounds and a literacy day quiz.
Students from each Barazza hall presented in languages such as Hindi, Sanskrit, Spanish, French and Japanese. These activities have made us more motivated to learn and love new languages.
The closing ceremony concluded the symposium, as the film captured the pieces from each Barazza band in real-time with works of Pathways students being highlighted in the video as well. Overall, the conference was outstanding.
