Autism Awareness Session Pathways World School, Gurgaon
April 8
An awareness session titled "Autism and Inclusion" was organized for our students to commemorate the global celebration of Autism Awareness Month in April.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that affects communication, social interaction, and behaviour but unfortunately, it is still widely misunderstood in society, leading to the stigmatization and marginalization of those with ASD.
The program aimed to raise awareness and educate our students about ASD and how to promote a more inclusive society for individuals with ASD. Esteemed experts in the field delivered insightful talks on the topic, sharing their knowledge and experiences.
The program also included interactive sessions, enabling students to engage in meaningful conversations and activities that promote inclusion. As a community, we believe it is our responsibility to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all our students, including those with ASD. This program marked a significant step towards achieving this objective, and we hope it inspires our students to develop greater empathy, understanding, and acceptance towards individuals with ASD.
