Emerald Heights Knowledge Convergence Arc-2022 Pathways World School, Gurgaon

On January 28th and 29th, eight students from MYP 1- 4 took part in a virtual Knowledge Convergence Arc, hosted by Emerald Heights International School, Indore which saw the participation of 42 schools from across India. The event comprised of various events such as the multi-format debate, Creative Writing Contest, and the General Quiz.
The students were mentored in their respective fields by the English teachers to further enhance their performance.
The event started with an opening ceremony with a discussion about the importance of collaboration to hone the communication and social skills of students across the country. After the opening ceremony, the participants joined their respective groups for the different events they were a part of.
The multi-format debate was a three-round event with three debate categories; Turncoat debate, Extempore, and the Bridge round. All the participating members participating were given fifteen minutes to prepare their topic before the submission of their entries. The topics were centered around the social and political affairs of the country. In the creative writing category, students were given prompts to create a self-composed poem and narrative. With little time, the creative outpours of the students were commendable.
The closing ceremony marked the culmination of the event where all schools shared their learnings and reflected on the importance of communicating their perspective on social concerns. Overall, it was a great learning experience for all participating students.
