Pathways World School, Gurgaon
As a part of the Experiential Learning program, sixteen students from Pathways World School, Gurgaon visited France and Switzerland for a learning program in Pralognan, France from 2nd March to 12th March 2023. The trip included educational visits to the United Nations Centre and CERN in Geneva.
The students visited the main UNOG administrative offices are located inside the Palais des Nations complex, which was originally constructed for the League of Nations between 1929 and 1938. The next destination was CERN which is often referred to as the European Laboratory for Particle Physics. The students learned that understanding matter goes much deeper than the nucleus. They also visited the Patek Philippe Museum, which displays the best of Swiss watches, highlighting the origin and evolution of the Swiss watch industry.
The next half of the trip was spent in Pralognan in Rhone Alps Ski Area where the students took ski lessons from the best skiing instructors for 16 hours. Skiing was done in a progressive manner from basic to intermediate slopes to develop confidence. On the last day, the students went through a proficiency test followed by fun skiing. Overall, it was an adventurous experience that will be etched indelibly in the minds of the students.
