For each debate, the participating teams were randomly assigned to compete, and the propositions were given 30 minutes prior to the debate. The first two rounds were the preliminary "knock-out" rounds, wherein each member of the team spoke for 4 minutes and the winning team moved to the next round. After winning both rounds by defeating the teams of DPS International School and The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, the Pathways delegates competed in, and won the semi-finals against Modern School, Vasant Vihar.
