Scholar's Cup Style Debate Pathways World School, Gurgaon
April 12
MYP 3 students drew inspiration from the recent World Scholar's Cup Regional round and participated in a thought-provoking debate on the motion, 'Technology makes it easier to commit crimes than catch criminals'.
This activity served a dual purpose, helping students revise their English argumentative writing skills while also providing them with an opportunity to practice debating. Two teams were formed, one in Favor of the motion and
the other against i, and the entire debate was student-led, with students taking on the role of judges.
Each team member participated with enthusiasm, presenting unique and compelling arguments. While the team supporting the motion emerged as the winners, the entire debate was a thrilling and engaging showcase of our students' impressive argumentative skills.
