MYP 1 Boot Camp To commemorate this great journey of new learnings, enriching experiences, and fresh starts, Middle School organised ‘Boot Camp’ for the students of MYP1. In the week-long Boot Camp, they had a chance to experience different aspects of the MYP and Middle School at Pathways.

The Boot Camp was designed with fun-filled learning engagements led by the Middle School Teachers. Students were introduced to the core-pillars of MYP at Pathways, like Global Contexts, Service as Action, IB Learner’s Profile, Well -Being and self-care, Assessments on Wizemen. They were also introduced to the different opportunities which will come their way in the Middle School such as Round Square, MUN, etc.

Students explored the purview of Service as Action in the MYP and listed a few service activities they can take forward from their homes. Well-Being and Self-Care were also emphasised upon through magical mantras which will help them through Middle School.

Student Council members also interacted with the MYP1 students to share their tips and tricks to cope in the Middle School. The IB Learner Profile attributes were revisited, and students shared their dominant attributes through a poster. The Boot Camp ended with a Goal Setting activity where the students understood the importance of setting achievable goals and creating an action plan for achieving them.

The experience of the Boot Camp was one filled with fun and learning for the Students. At the end of the Boot Camp, each student received a ‘Ticket to MYP’ for successfully completing the Boot Camp.
