• Round Square on ‘Adventure- Inhale Courage, Exhale Fear’-Hyderabad February 7

“You’re off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!”, is rightly quoted by Dr. Suess. This Round Square was held from the 22^nd to the 26^{th of} January 2023.

6 students from MYP 2 were invited to represent Pathways World School as delegates in ‘Adventure- Inhale Courage and Exhale Fear’ hosted by Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. This conference was based on the theme of adventure, with more than 20 schools participating in the event, revolving around how to get out of our comfort zone and go beyond our limits.

The conference was spread across 5 days, which allowed us to not only learn and develop a new mindset but to also make new friends and indulge in activities and sessions.

On the first day of the event, the students arrived in Hyderabad and were off to our ice-breaking sessions. After the icebreaking sessions, students celebrated 100 years of the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.

On the second day, an opening ceremony was held, where students got a tour around the school. The students then headed for the keynote speaker session, held by Saad Bin Jung (Former Cricketer, Author, Safar Lodge Owner, and Wildlife Conservationist). An ecstatic Cultural Show took place, where our students performed the song ‘Ek Jindari’.

On the third day of the event, students went for adventurous activities, where they did zip-lining, sky cycling, and tons of other activities at the Cliff in Adventures, Hyderabad.

On the fourth day, students went to Ramoji Film City and saw various sets of popular movies.

On the fifth day, students went to the HPS campus and watched Republic Day celebrations. Students then attended the closing ceremony, where the Keynote speaker was Arun Tiwari, who is an Indian missile scientist, author, and professor. He has written several books and co-authored 5 books with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, including Wings of Fire.

All in all, this Round Square taught students to go out of their comfort zones and to unlock a new mindset when approached with new decisions and opportunities. The keynote sessions taught students, never to give up on what they want to achieve in life, and to accept new challenges and new adventures in life.
