'Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work' Aristotle

On Thursday and Friday, 30th and 31st of August, 2018, was yet another momentous occasion in our lives. The students of Middle School achieved yet another feat in their learning journey through the Parent Orientation Day conducted for Grades 6 through 8 on 31st and for Grade 9 and 10 on the 30th.

They engaged with their parents on the myriad aspects of School life and IB Curriculum ranging from 'What is MYP' to the various opportunities, Systems and Procedures, E-assessments as well as our glorious results of the MYP batch of 2018.

The parents certainly looked optimistic as they walked through this journey with their children. It likewise offered parents a profound understanding into the school's IB MYP Programme and helped in bridging the gap between students and parents in terms of comprehending the Curriculum and its needs.

The entire event was a student-led initiative, as each family was assigned a student volunteer to clear all their doubts throughout the session. The event began with a welcome note by the Deputy Principal and MYP Coordinator, Ms. Monika Bajaj. The performances by the School Choir further enthralled the audience. The School Director, Dr. Sarvesh Naidu, perpetuated his belief in 'Learn how to learn' as the mantra in todays' times.

Furthermore, the enthusiastic student volunteers engaged in an interactive session with parents about the IBMYP Curriculum Guide, Policies and Procedures at Middle School, Opportunities in Middle School and the Academic Calendar for the School Year 2018-19.

A walk through of the School's very own portal 'Wizemen' led by Mr. Maneesh Raina – Senior Developer from Wizemen Technologies Ltd. was praiseworthy. The Middle School Principal, Mr. Sumit Dargan concluded the event by addressing the gathering about College Advisory and a Q&A Session. The feedback from the parents was gratifying.

By and large, the Parent Orientation Day consisted of experiential learning and an active engagement between parents, students and teachers. The Pathways motto "Learn, Work, Play, Think, LIVE" echoed in the minds and hearts of Parents as they walked out of the Orientation much informed about their child's educational journey through the Middle Years Programme.
