"The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet." - Aristotle

The Middle School Students engaged with Parents, yet again, on the indelible occasion of the third Parent Orientation Day, on Friday, 28th of September 2018. Conducted for the parents of the Boarders, the student-led initiative was an enriching experience for both the students and the parents of Grades 6 to 10.

The students covered the plethora of aspects such as 'Why MYP' and 'What are e-assessments?' through the videos created by our MYP Class of 2018, as well as Deputy Principal and MYP Coordinator, Ms. Monika Bajaj.

Throughout the Orientation, the Ceremony covered myriad aspects of the MYP curriculum, starting from a tutorial on our school's very own portal, Wizemen. Conducted by Ms. Nupoor Kaura, the tutorial cleared all doubts and queries and built up excitement in the parents to explore the new site which gives a gist of the IB e-assessments.

However, the extraordinary feature of the Parent Orientation was that it was entirely a student-led initiative. It was the profound and proficient knowledge of the students that helped pave a path of comprehension for the parents regarding the MYP curriculum. In the duration of the entire assembly, the students and the parents symbiotically cooperated and discussed the several facets of a Pathwaysians Life.

Furthermore, Ms. Sujata Raina, from our College Advisory team, encouraged all students to sit in PSAT, SAT, ACT exams and enlightened parents on what are the prerequisites for college applications, through a presentation displaying our students' phenomenal results and achievements.

The occasion concluded with our school director, Dr. Sarvesh Naidu, gracing the occasion. Wishing the best to all, he persuaded both the students and the parents to connect over the four-day weekend, without the use of electronic devices. All in all, the fruitful hour gave the parents a comprehensive understanding of what the MYP really is and the salient requirements to exceed in the curriculum.

A heartfelt felicitation was given to all parents who were able to eke out time from their busy schedules to traverse the MYP journey with their children. In the end, they were well acquainted with the desired protocols of Middle Years Programme framework, pledging to work together with synergy and Pathwaysian pride.
