Pathways World School, Gurgaon
The festival of Rakshabandhan holds cultural and social importance. A long-established custom, it symbolises a special bond between a brother and a sister. Relationships are the essence of any festivity and Pathways World School has always maintained an association with one’s cultural roots.
Keeping in mind it’s tradition of a progressive approach, the Primary School Students celebrated relationships and special bonds. Being citizens of the world, they discussed the importance of relationships with their families, friends, house-help as well as animals and how vital these bonds are for one’s social-emotional well-being.
Students elaborated on what makes or breaks a relationship and how attributes like kindness, respect and tolerance can foster long- lasting relations. The students commemorated the festival by designing Rakhis using recycled material thus reducing wastage and contributing to a clean and sustainable environment.
