As it has rightly been said, "Excellence is never an accident; it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skilful execution and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities".

Pathways World School, Gurgaon, assumes the mantle to raise its hat to the student's commingling of initiative and perseverance, contributing to a manifestation of their achievement in scores of forms. These 'scores of forms' of the prowess of students were recognized on Friday, 7th September, as the laudation of these individual commitments was adverted to as the annual Middle School Awards Ceremony for the Academic year, 2017-2018.

By the same token, the event commenced with a chance for a sprinkling of MYP students to flaunt their flair with regard to the performing arts, namely the fields of Dance and Music, through the wonted invocations and choir performances. Yet, posterior to this, the inspiriting words of the Middle School Principal, Mr. Sumit Dargan, urged the students to contrive their own edge, with a well-wished purport and substance for their own selves.

As the first set of academic awards, for the sixth-grade batch of the Academic year 2017-2018, rolled in, the exhilaration was axiomatic on the students' face, as they walked, with poise, onto the stage of the Panini Auditorium, beaming with gratification and relish whilst the eyes of the spectators were riveted to the reification of the student's feats.

With a myriad of ensnaring rhapsodies and renditions bestrewn across the flow of the event with the academic awards for the four batches of the former academic year, the analogous glee was concurrent yet recurrent throughout. Withal, as the academic awards touch its denouement, the awardees and beholders were elated to acknowledge the presence of the esteemed Guest of Honour, Mr. Pratham Mittal, whose allocution and anecdotes begot a tenor of allure across the expanse of the audience.

Subsequent to this, the achievements in Sports and other co-scholastic fields, namely Visual Arts, Dance, Music, Drama, Digital Design, as well as Product Design, were bestowed, following which the most coveted award - Deputy Principal's, Principal's, School Director's, and Chairman's Awards, were announced. Vedika Giridhar Mandapati (Grade 10) received the Chairman's Award whereas Anirudh Balekar (Grade 10) was conferred with the Director's Award.

Nearer to the culmination of the ceremony, the School Director, Dr. Sarvesh Naidu, apportioned his words of fortification with the parents and students. At this point in time, the awardees were compelled to pore on the meaning of the bounty of awards that had just been doled out; was it only an annealed piece of glass for them, or an embodiment of their hard-work, which should only further stimulate them to work, with assiduity and humility, towards their objectives? The key to this question, is the framing of a true Pathwaysian; a Pathwaysian who, although revelled in his, or her, success on this day with pride, but also has the ability to accept failures with grace, on any other day.
