Indulge in the luscious sweetness of homemade Mulberry Jam - where fresh, juicy mulberries transform into a rich, flavourful spread. This delightful preserve brings together natural goodness and a hint of warm spice, making it perfect for your breakfast table or a quick indulgent treat!

Yields: ~1300 gm

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

Mulberry – 1000 gm

Sugar – 400 gm

Flavoring & Enhancers:

Cardamom – 2 nos
Nutmeg powder – 5 gm
Salt – 3 gm
Lemon juice – 60 gm
Liquid glucose – 100 gm

Method

  • Wash the mulberries thoroughly and crush them in a grinder to form a coarse pulp.
  • Transfer the crushed mulberries to a heavy-bottom pan and add sugar. Cook on medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add cardamom, nutmeg powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to incorporate the flavours.
  • Continue cooking on medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent sticking, until the mixture begins to thicken.
  • Add liquid glucose and cook further until the jam reaches its setting point (approximately 105°C or when it coats the back of a spoon).
  • Remove from heat and allow the jam to cool slightly.
  • Transfer into sterilized jars and let it cool completely before sealing.

Spread, serve, and enjoy this rich, fruity jam bursting with natural sweetness and warm aromatic notes - the perfect blend of comfort and flavour.
