Holi Hungama and Picnic - Day to Remember Pathways World School, Gurgaon
Picnic and Holi – what an exciting combination!
Come March 16th, the campus of Pathways Gurgaon was resplendent with the colours of Holi, a gorgeous breeze and the gracious sunshine overhead. The floors were coloured with intricate rangolis, the lawns were specked with colourful canopies and rugged charpais, the primary wing was bursting with its excitement to perform and, the kitchens were filled with aroma of scrumptious snacks and delicacies.
The staff - including the teachers, administration and the support staff-- was decked in their most colourful traditional attire awaiting its honoured guests – the tiny tots, their parents and grandparents and the staff of renowned primary schools.
As the guests trickled in, the sound of the rhythmic dhol echoed across the campus. The tilak thalis came out to welcome the guests. The auditorium was filled with excitement as the children gathered behind the curtains to showcase their hard work and skills. The show highlighted the significance of Holi through a compelling skit, an invigorating dance performance and a soulful song recital.
Thereafter, the exhilarated crowd then stepped out into the sunny lawns to enjoy further entertainment in the form of traditional Holi songs performed by the staff, a safe and fragrant holi play with flowers and a scrumptious lunch of traditional Holi dishes and drinks.
It was a perfect day with the best of both worlds - a beautiful colourful Holi and a lavish picnic in nature's lap. It was a day that will be etched on the minds of every guest and staff as the Hungama of the decade.
