'A book is a gift you can open again and again', said Garrison Keillor.

To celebrate the wonder of books, Primary School celebrated Language Week and Hindi Divas from the 17th – 21st of September, 2018.

A Wonderland of Books being the theme of the week, Students and teachers delved into books written by authors such as Julia Donaldson, Eric Carle, Enid Blyton, Ruckin Bond, Rabindranath Tagore and Michael Morpurgo. Students participated in an array of engagements through the week, such as Buddy Reading, Book Tasting, Spelling Bee and Language Games.

During the Book Tasting, there they tasted different kinds of reading material on display. Students chose from the flavours that agreed with their reading palate, and left with a list they would like to pursue in their Library lessons. There was an active participation from the Parent Body in the form of Story -Reading Sessions for the students. Early Years students participated in a Character Parade where they dressed as their favorite book characters and spoke their favourite lines.

The Language Week Celebrations were brought to a closure with the students playing a variety of Language games designed for them.
