• SGFI Gymnastics Competition October 15

Gymnastics is a sport that requires balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. On 14th October 2018 and 15th October 2018, students from Pathways World School participated in the SGFI District Gymnastics Competition, held in Nehru Stadium, Gurgaon.

This event started off with the under 11 Artistic Girls taking the floor. Participants from pathways performed stunningly and learned various new techniques from their opponents. It was a good learning exposure for the students.

Later, the team of Under 14 Rhythmic Girls performed on the floor with four apparatuses: ball, hoop, ribbon, and clubs. Pathways World School, Gurgaon had the team of three gymnasts, who performed well with the 4 apparatuses. The gymnasts were anxious to showcase their routines and performances.

Our students came back after giving splendid performances. The under 14 team Artistic and Rhythmic faced tough competition, but they took this chance, as an opportunity to learn new skills. This also helped them with their vast understanding of the fundamental, and non-fundamental skills with the apparatus.

Mahi Singh (Grade 4), Jayati Anand (Grade 5) and Suhasini Jyoti Keshari (Grade 6) were selected for the State Level Championship and the Under 14 Rhythmic Team scored the second position in the competition.

Through this opportunity, the participants not only had the chance to learn a lot from the other participants but were also able to witness dynamic dancing routines and elements, which they could further incorporate into their own routines.
