Immersive DNA Science Workshop: A Deep Dive into Biotechnology On April 3rd, 2025, MYP 4 and DP 1 Biology students at Pathways World School Gurugram participated in an engaging DNA Science Workshop, led by Mr. V.K. Singh, a distinguished expert in biotechnology and DNA fingerprinting. This hands-on workshop allowed students to explore key molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, and DNA fingerprinting, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical experience. Using real lab equipment, students extracted DNA, observed banding patterns, and learned about the crucial role of biotechnology in fields like medicine, forensics, agriculture, and genetics. The workshop not only enhanced their scientific skills but also ignited curiosity and deepened their appreciation for how science can address real-world challenges. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. V.K. Singh for inspiring our students and reinforcing the importance of experiential, inquiry-driven education!.
