Exploring the Art of Odissi: A Dance Workshop for Primary Students
Primary School students recently had the privilege of participating in a captivating Odissi Dance Workshop, led by a distinguished artist with international acclaim and a deep connection to classical tradition. Under the guidance of a senior disciple of Vidushi Kavita Dwibedi, the young learners were introduced to the expressive world of movement, rhythm, and storytelling.
The workshop went beyond just teaching dance steps—it immersed students in one of India’s oldest classical dance forms, fostering cultural appreciation and artistic discipline. Through this experience, students built a deeper connection to India’s vibrant performing arts legacy, learning not only the art of Odissi but also its rich cultural significance. A beautiful exploration of tradition, expression, and creativity!
