Adventure Camp - DP 2 November 4Pathways World School, Gurgaon
Day 1
At 4:30 pm on November 3rd, DP-2 Day Boarders gathered at Leisure Valley, bidding farewell to their families for a week in the wilderness. Simultaneously, their Boarding counterparts left from Pathways. By 6 pm, both groups commenced their journey to Tirthan. At 8:30 pm, a brief dinner stop at Gulshan Dhaba provided respite. Following some hours of card games and music, even night owls settled into what might be their last warm night of rest. In the early morning, both groups disembarked to ascend further in smaller vehicles, absorbing the beauty of Tirthan. All students reached the campsite around 10 am for breakfast. Excitement for the upcoming week was palpable.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, students settled into tents. Some initially resistant campers accepted shared living arrangements and joined instructors at 11 am. Groups for the duration were formed, and an acclimatization hike preceded lunch. Afternoon activities included rappelling, target jumping, river crafting, and a trek to a waterfall with a natural water slide. Students journaled before dinner and returned to tents for rest by 9:30 pm. Remaining students completed SATs the next morning.
Day 3
On the third day, campers woke at 6 am for warm snacks. Night out participants returned to base camp. Yellow Tigers and Power Rangers showcased survival skills at Magic Views and Tiger Peak, respectively. After a hearty meal, a bonfire fostered socializing. Campers slept under the stars. Returning campers refreshed with group activities, White Woodthings trekked to Chhoie Waterfall, and Yellow Tigers and Power Rangers tackled river crossing. Night fell with games, and Red Flags and White Woodthings eagerly awaited their Night Out. Students anticipate another day of adventure.
