On the 6th February 2019, the Primary School at PWS, organized the 6th Annual Walkathon marking February as the Month of Heart.

The event paid tribute to the legendary Terrance Stanley, the Canadian athlete, popularly known as 'Terry Fox' for his efforts towards Cancer Research. His efforts left a worldwide legacy 'The Annual Terry Fox Run' that was first held in 1981, involving millions of participants from 60 countries. It is now the world's largest 1-day fundraiser for cancer research.

The gathering of enthusiastic students was addressed by Dr. Mrs. Naidu, HOD, Student Well-being, and our School Director, Dr. Naidu. The presence of Pathways Panther, the school mascot, on this occasion brought in more excitement and energy in the students who had been preparing for this event with various colourful banners and posters.

The 6th Annual Walkathon commenced officially with Dr. Naidu flagging off the event. A melodious multi-lingual rendition of the song 'I am A Cloud' played in the background creating a mindful ambience for the participants.

The students were joined by parents, grandparents, teachers, Admin Members, and for the very first time, the support staff in the 'Walk for a Cause'.
