• Inter-School Tennis Tournament December 7

The invitational Interschool Tennis Tournament took place from the 3rd of December to the 6th of December, 2018 at Pathways World School, Gurgaon. There were a total of 12 teams which participated in this tournament, with individuals playing team events. Through the chill of the mornings to the heat of the afternoon, the players played enthusiastically and with true sportsmen spirit.

The students not only participated in terms of playing the matches, but also took upon the role of umpires in order to build a sense of trust and confidence among the players.

The team spirit among all the participating schools could be seen through the incessant cheering and motivation by the fellow players for their player on court, and aided in instilling confidence for the player. Despite the chilly winter evenings, no participant missed the finals which were extremely intense and all the players played their best putting all their hard work into it.

One has to lose in a game but the grief-stricken players handled their defeats like a true sportsmen, congratulating and commending the other for their game.

The role of the coaches cannot be undermined, for they were by the side of their players during the matches, motivating them and helping them perform better. During the prize-giving ceremony, it was a proud moment for all the winners for their hard work was rewarded and appreciated. There were gloomy faces for sure, but it also contained a sense of spark, a will to win and perform better in the next tournament.
