On the 3rd of April, 2024, DP 1 students of Pathways World School Gurgaon participated in the Round Square Postcard Session with the theme ‘Spectrums of Isolation,’ hosted by Singapore International School, Mumbai.

The 90-minute Zoom session included schools from across the globe engaging in fruitful discussions in respective baraza groups about the kinds of isolation, its impacts on mental health, recognizing the essence of human connection, and collectively finding ways to respond to such isolation. Students connected with one another by sharing their personal experiences and shedding light on the emotions they undergo when they feel isolated. The closing ceremony invited a student from each baraza to reflect on the insights they gained through the conference and present an outline of the perspectives and dialogues exchanged in their groups.

Round Square has always transcended borders to bring together students on a platform to exchange views on worldly conversations. The postcard was held for ages 16-18, a bracket of teenagers most vulnerable to episodes of isolation, who could thus add profound value to the session through their personal narratives and seek solutions from like-minded individuals in their groups.
