The students of MYP 5 along with their parents were invited to attend the Parent Orientation meeting, held on 27th November 2020. The School Director, Ms. Sonya Ghandy Mehta, the Middle School Principal, Ms. Monika Bajaj and the MYP Coordinators, Ms. Achla Kakria and Ms. Swati Chhikara interacted with parents and students and briefed them about the journey ahead for MYP class of 2021.

Keeping in mind the importance of Students’ final year of MYP journey in mind, the parents, students and teachers had a detailed discussion on important aspects like Portfolios, Language Acquisition, Personal Project, Inter-Disciplinary unit, special schedules, Trials 1& 2, e-Assessments, and the benefits of meeting the deadlines. Tips and tricks required for preparing for the final e-Assessments were shared with the students.

The Presenters also made recommendations on how to fruitfully spend winter break and utilize ready reckoner (Timetable) for each upcoming week, in order to wisely divide one’s time.

To resolve all the doubts of the parents and students, there was a Q&A session held at the end of the meeting and parents were highly appreciative of the strategies put in place for the Students.

The Zoom meeting was very informative for all the attendees. Such Orientation definitely gives the parents insight about their ward’s academic requirements and makes them more aware of the times ahead.
