On Saturday, 27/7/2024, the boys of grade 7& 8 from Mekong residence, had an extempore session. We participated in an activity that improved our public speaking and communication skills. This activity was basically about picking out a chit and whatever topic is on that chit; we must talk about that topic. We get two minutes to speak about the topic. 

When we started the activity, we were all nervous to speak in front of the whole boarding. The topics were easy and interesting. For example, why should internet access be limited in school or pros and cons about social media and the funniest topic was why school should ban homework. 

In conclusion, the activity was fun and full of learning for every student. It was also educational and inspiring. We would love to host this activity again in the future, but the activity could be improved by having teams instead of being individual and have a point system to make it more fun and competitive.
