About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Management & Economics Teacher (IB MYP & DP) to deliver engaging and concept-driven instruction aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The ideal candidate will have strong subject expertise, familiarity with IB assessment frameworks, and the ability to cultivate analytical thinking, real-world application, and global awareness among students.

Brief Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with IB MYP Individuals & Societies and IB DP Business Management and Economics curricula. • Develop inquiry-based, case-study-driven, and concept-focused learning experiences. • Prepare students for IB DP examinations and Internal Assessments (IAs). • Guide students in research, data interpretation, and application of business and economic theories. • Support Extended Essays (EE) in Business Management or Economics. • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs. • Integrate global contexts, contemporary case studies, and real-world business scenarios into lessons. Assessment & Documentation • Design formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria. • Conduct and supervise DP Internal Assessments ensuring IB compliance. • Maintain accurate academic records and curriculum documentation. • Participate in standardization and moderation processes. Collaboration & School Contribution • Collaborate with department members for curriculum planning and vertical alignment. • Participate in IB training, workshops, and ongoing professional development. • Contribute to interdisciplinary learning initiatives, business clubs, competitions, and student enterprise activities.

Requirements

In-depth understanding of IB MYP and DP curriculum and assessment criteria. • Strong command of economic theories, business strategies, and financial principles. • Ability to teach using case studies, research-based learning, and data analysis. • Strong analytical, communication, and classroom management skills. • Proficiency in integrating technology and digital tools into instruction. Master’s Degree in Business Management / Economics / Commerce or related field (Mandatory). • Minimum 4–6 years of teaching experience, preferably within IB MYP and DP frameworks. • Experience guiding students through DP Internal Assessments and examination preparation. • IB workshop certification preferred.
